Ingredients
  

8 slices of whole grain bread

1 pound sliced turkey breast

8 slices of crispy bacon

1 large ripe avocado, sliced

1 cup crisp lettuce leaves (Romaine or iceberg)

2 medium tomatoes, sliced

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: sliced cheese (cheddar or Swiss)

Prepare the Spread: In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise with Dijon mustard. Add salt and pepper to taste and set aside.

    Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

      Toast the Bread: Toast the slices of whole grain bread until golden brown. This will add extra crunch to your sandwich.

        Assemble the Sandwich:

          - Start with two slices of toasted bread. Spread a generous amount of the mayo-mustard mix on each slice.

            - Layer on the sliced turkey breast evenly on one of the slices.

              - Add a layer of bacon, followed by the sliced avocado, and then a layer of lettuce and tomato slices.

                - If desired, add a slice of cheese on top.

                  Add More Layers: Place another slice of toast on top to continue building. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to create a second layer (turkey, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, cheese).

                    Final Touch: Top with the last slice of bread, spread with the remaining mayo-mustard mix. Cut the sandwich into quarters, securing each section with toothpicks if needed.
