Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well until fully incorporated.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking powder, baking soda, salt, and all-purpose flour. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until a thick dough forms.

If desired, fold in the chocolate chips for an extra touch of sweetness.

Using a tablespoon, scoop out portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden on the edges but still soft in the center.

Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
