Ingredients

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup feta cheese, crumbled

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup heavy cream

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Sauté Spinach: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped spinach and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until wilted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Mix Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, feta cheese, Parmesan cheese, heavy cream, garlic powder, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined. Add the sautéed spinach and mix again until the spinach is evenly distributed.

Prepare Pie Crust: Roll out the pie crust if using homemade, and place it into a 9-inch pie dish, trimming excess dough from the edges.

Fill Pie: Pour the spinach filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.

Top with Crust: If desired, place another layer of pie crust on top of the filling, sealing the edges with a fork for decoration. Cut a few slits in the top crust for steam to escape.

Egg Wash: Brush the top of the pie with the beaten egg to give it a beautiful golden color as it bakes.

Bake: Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.

Cool and Serve: Allow the pie to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm as a delicious appetizer or main dish!
