Ingredients

1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 pound of breakfast sausage (regular or spicy, as preferred)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease and let cool slightly.

Mix the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.

Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate the triangles.

Fill and Roll: Place a generous spoonful of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough from the wide end to the narrow end to form a crescent shape. Pinch the ends to seal.

Egg Wash: Brush each crescent with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.

Bake: Place the filled crescents on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Optionally, garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
