4 turkey drumsticks

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

1 cup chicken broth (for basting)

Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

    Prepare the Drumsticks: Pat the turkey drumsticks dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy skin.

      Make the Marinade: In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).

        Season the Drumsticks: Rub the herb mixture all over the turkey drumsticks, making sure to cover all areas for maximum flavor.

          Arrange in Baking Dish: Place the seasoned drumsticks in a large baking dish or on a roasting pan. Arrange them so they are not touching, which helps them roast evenly.

            Add Broth: Pour the chicken broth into the baking dish, making sure it doesn’t wash off the seasoning from the drumsticks.

              Roasting: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and roast for about 45-55 minutes, or until the drumsticks reach an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C) and the skin is golden brown and crispy.

                Baste for Flavor: Halfway through cooking, carefully baste the drumsticks with the broth using a baster or a spoon. This keeps them moist and enhances the flavor.

                  Let Rest: Once cooked, remove the drumsticks from the oven and let them rest for about 10 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute.
