Ingredients

1 pound ground beef or turkey

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup water

2 cups tortilla chips (crushed)

1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained

1 cup corn (fresh, frozen, or canned)

1 cup salsa

1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup sour cream (for topping)

1 jalapeño, sliced (optional, for heat)

Fresh cilantro (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or turkey. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.

Add Seasonings: Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.

Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed tortilla chips, black beans, corn, and salsa. Pour in the meat mixture and stir until everything is evenly mixed.

Layer the Dish: Transfer the combined mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Top with dollops of sour cream, sliced jalapeños if using, and fresh cilantro if desired. Serve warm, and enjoy!
