Ingredients

4 slices of sourdough bread

8 oz Brie cheese, sliced

4 slices of cooked bacon, chopped

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

1 tablespoon honey (optional, for drizzling)

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Fresh arugula or spinach (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Ingredients: Cook the bacon until crispy and chop it into small pieces. Slice the Brie cheese into thick pieces for the best melt.

Assemble the Sandwich: Spread the softened butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread. On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer the Brie cheese evenly, followed by the chopped bacon. If desired, drizzle a little honey over the bacon and top with a pinch of black pepper.

Complete the Sandwich: Place the remaining slices of sourdough on top, buttered side facing out.

Grill the Sandwich: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place the sandwiches in the skillet. Cook until the bread is golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Flip carefully and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes, ensuring the cheese melts nicely.

Serve: Once golden and crispy on both sides, remove from the skillet. Allow to cool for a minute before slicing in half. If desired, serve with a handful of fresh arugula or spinach and a drizzle of honey.

Enjoy: Savor your quick and easy sourdough Brie grilled cheese with bacon, enjoying the rich flavors and gooey texture!
