Ingredients

For the Peanut Butter Mousse:

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Chocolate Ganache:

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

Prepare the Peanut Butter Mousse:

    - In a large mixing bowl, add the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until the ingredients are well combined and smooth.

      - In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream to medium peaks. This should take about 3-4 minutes with an electric mixer.

        - Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture in thirds, being careful not to deflate the whipped cream too much. Continue folding until all the whipped cream is fully incorporated and the mousse is smooth.

          Chill the Mousse:

            - Spoon the peanut butter mousse into individual serving glasses or bowls. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow it to set.

              Make the Chocolate Ganache:

                - In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the heavy cream and butter. Stir until melted and combined, then remove from heat.

                  - Pour the hot cream mixture over the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes to soften the chocolate, then stir until smooth and shiny.

                    Assemble:

                      - Once the mousse has set, carefully spoon a layer of chocolate ganache over the top of each mousse cup. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to spread it evenly if necessary.

                        - Optionally, garnish with crushed peanuts, chocolate shavings, or a dollop of whipped cream.

                          Serve:

                            - Chill again for 15-20 minutes to allow the ganache to firm slightly. Serve the peanut butter mousse with chocolate ganache chilled and enjoy the delectable combination of flavors!
