Ingredients

1 store-bought pie crust (9-inch)

6 large eggs

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup crumbled cooked sausage (like spicy or breakfast sausage)

1/2 cup diced green onions

1/2 cup diced tomatoes (drained if using canned)

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Pie Crust: Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish. Press it down gently and up the sides. If needed, poke a few holes in the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling.

Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the crumbled sausage until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Whisk the Egg Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Combine Ingredients: Stir in the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, diced green onions, and diced tomatoes into the egg mixture until evenly distributed.

Fill the Crust: Pour the egg and sausage mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.

Bake the Quiche: Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.

Cool and Serve: Remove the quiche from the oven and allow it to cool for about 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, then slice and serve warm.
