Ingredients

1 large bag of tortilla chips

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed

1 cup fresh pico de gallo

1 jalapeño, sliced

1 cup guacamole

1 cup sour cream

1/2 cup sliced black olives

1 avocado, diced

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: 1 lb cooked ground beef or shredded chicken

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

On a large baking sheet or oven-safe platter, spread out a layer of tortilla chips evenly across the surface.

In a mixing bowl, combine the black beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. If using, add in the cooked ground beef or shredded chicken, mixing well.

Sprinkle a generous amount of the black bean mixture over the tortilla chips.

Top the chips and beans with an even layer of shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.

Add the sliced jalapeños and black olives on top of the cheese.

Place the loaded nachos in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and immediately layer the fresh pico de gallo, diced avocado, and guacamole over the nachos.

Drizzle with sour cream and sprinkle fresh cilantro on top for garnish.

Serve the loaded nachos hot, and enjoy digging into the delicious layers of flavor!
