Ingredients

12 small slider buns

1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed

1 lb ground beef

1 cup pepperoni slices

1 green bell pepper, diced

1 red onion, diced

1 cup marinara sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Olive oil (for drizzling)

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Red pepper flakes (optional, for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the Meats: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the Italian sausage and ground beef together until fully cooked, breaking up the meat as it cooks. Drain excess fat.

Add Vegetables: Add the diced bell pepper, red onion, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Mix in Marinara: Stir in the marinara sauce and pepperoni slices. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat.

Assemble the Sliders: Cut the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon the meat mixture generously onto each bottom bun, then sprinkle with provolone and Parmesan cheese.

Top and Drizzle: Place the tops of the slider buns over the filled bottoms. Drizzle a little olive oil over the tops and sprinkle with a pinch of Italian seasoning if desired.

Bake: Place the assembled sliders in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the buns are golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once out of the oven, let sliders cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves. For an extra kick, add red pepper flakes if desired. Slice and serve hot.
