Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable bag, and pour the marinade over the fillets. Ensure all the salmon is coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) while the salmon marinates.

Bake the Salmon: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and remove the salmon from the marinade, allowing some excess marinade to drip off. Place the salmon skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle a little of the marinade over the fillets.

Cook: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through and flaky. If desired, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end to caramelize the top.

Serve: Remove from the oven, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Drizzle any remaining marinade over the salmon before serving.

Pair: Serve with steamed rice and sautéed vegetables for a delicious meal!
