Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes until well combined. Set aside a few tablespoons of the mixture for glazing later.

Marinate the Wings: Place the chicken wings in a large resealable plastic bag or bowl. Pour the marinade over the wings, making sure they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet to allow the wings to crisp up.

Arrange Wings for Baking: Remove the wings from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack.

Bake the Wings: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Glaze the Wings: After baking, brush the reserved marinade over the wings and return them to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to caramelize the glaze.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
