Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

1 large egg

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and black pepper to taste

1/2 cup sweet chili sauce

2 tbsp sriracha (more if you like it hotter)

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp rice vinegar

Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Form the Meatballs: Using your hands, form the mixture into bite-sized meatballs (about 1.5 inches in diameter) and place them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the Meatballs: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until they are browned and cooked through.

Make the Firecracker Sauce: While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce by combining sweet chili sauce, sriracha, soy sauce, and rice vinegar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir and bring to a simmer, letting it cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Coat the Meatballs: Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and place them in a large bowl. Pour the firecracker sauce over them, tossing gently to coat each meatball evenly.

Serve: Transfer the sauced meatballs to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh cilantro and additional red pepper flakes if desired.
