Ingredients

1 pound store-bought pizza dough (or homemade, if you prefer)

1 cup pizza sauce (jarred or homemade)

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni (or your favorite toppings)

1 bell pepper, sliced

1 small red onion, thinly sliced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Olive oil for brushing

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a large rimmed baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it with olive oil.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to fit the size of the baking sheet. Transfer the dough to the prepared sheet, gently stretching and pressing it out to cover the entire surface.

Brush the dough lightly with olive oil to create a golden crust. Use a fork to poke small holes across the dough to prevent bubbling.

Spread an even layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a little space around the edges for a crust.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce. Layer your toppings—pepperoni, bell pepper, and red onion—across the cheese.

Sprinkle oregano, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes over the toppings for added flavor.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and golden, and the edges of the crust are crispy.

Once baked, remove the sheet pan from the oven and let it cool for a minute.

Cut into squares and garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve hot!
