8 oz egg noodles

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 cup frozen peas and carrots

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

2 tbsp olive oil

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with a little olive oil.

    Cook Noodles: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Brown the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent.

        Add Ground Beef: Increase the heat to medium-high, add the ground beef, and cook until browned. Break it up with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

          Combine Ingredients: Reduce the heat to medium. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, tomato sauce, sour cream, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and frozen peas and carrots. Cook for about 5 minutes until everything is well combined.

            Mix Noodles: Fold the cooked egg noodles into the beef mixture until fully incorporated.

              Assemble the Bake: Pour the beef and noodle mixture into the greased baking dish. Spread evenly and top with shredded cheddar cheese. Finally, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top for a crunchy topping.

                Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.

                  Serve: Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your cozy family dinner!
