Cowboy Butter Steak Sliders

For the Cowboy Butter:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

1 tablespoon garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Sliders:

1 pound flank steak or sirloin, trimmed and cut into small slices

Salt and pepper to taste

8 slider buns

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 medium tomato, sliced

1/2 cup pickled jalapeños (optional)

Additional Cowboy Butter for spreading on buns

Instructions
 

Make the Cowboy Butter:

    - In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped parsley, chopped chives, minced garlic, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.

      - Mix until well combined, then transfer to a piece of plastic wrap and shape it into a log. Chill in the refrigerator until firm.

        Season the Steak:

          - Season the steak slices generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

            Cook the Steak:

              - Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of oil if using a skillet.

                - Cook the steak slices for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into smaller pieces suitable for sliders.

                  Prepare the Sliders:

                    - While the steak is resting, slice the slider buns in half. Spread a generous amount of Cowboy Butter on the cut sides of each bun.

                      - In one layer, place the sliced steak on the bottom half of each bun. Top with shredded lettuce, a slice of tomato, and pickled jalapeños if desired.

                        Assemble and Serve:

                          - Place the top half of the bun over the toppings and press down gently.

                            - Serve immediately while still warm, with extra Cowboy Butter on the side for dipping if you like!
