Ingredients

4 slices of thick-cut brioche or challah bread

2 large eggs

1/2 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon butter (for cooking)

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Maple syrup (for serving)

Fresh berries (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and sugar until well combined and frothy.

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add the butter, allowing it to melt and coat the surface.

Dip each slice of brioche or challah into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are soaked but not overly soggy.

Once the skillet is hot, place the soaked bread slices onto the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and slightly crispy.

Transfer the cooked French toast slices to a plate and dust with powdered sugar.

Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup and garnish with fresh berries, if desired. Enjoy the cinnamon swirl of flavors!
