1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

8 oz penne pasta

2 cups marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp dried basil

1 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)

Olive oil for cooking

Preheat the oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook the pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Sauté the chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, drizzle a little olive oil. Add the diced chicken, garlic powder, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is golden and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.

        Combine ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, marinara sauce, sautéed chicken, half of the mozzarella cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix until everything is well coated.

          Assemble the casserole: Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread it out evenly, then top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

            Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

              Garnish and serve: Once done, remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and sprinkle with fresh chopped basil. Serve warm and enjoy!
