4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup half-and-half cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Prepare Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and place them in a baking dish. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian herbs.

      Searing Chicken: In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Once hot, sear the chicken breasts for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. This step adds flavor and seals in juices.

        Make the Cheese Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the half-and-half, shredded mozzarella, and grated Parmesan. Mix well until smooth.

          Combine and Bake: Pour the cheese sauce over the seared chicken in the baking dish, ensuring that the chicken is well-coated in the sauce.

            Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C) and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

              Garnish: Remove from the oven, let it rest for 5 minutes, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
