Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb chicken breast, sliced into thin strips

1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

2 tbsp olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped parsley

Salt and pepper to taste

Red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.

Season the Chicken: In a bowl, toss the sliced chicken with 1 tablespoon of the Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.

Cook the Chicken: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Toss in the shrimp, the remaining Cajun seasoning, and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the chicken.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

Add Cheese: Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.

Combine Everything: Add the cooked fettuccine, chicken, and shrimp back to the skillet. Toss gently to combine and coat everything in the creamy sauce. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.

Garnish and Serve: Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan cheese if desired.
