Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup sour cream

1 cup cream of mushroom soup

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they become translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.

In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, place the chicken breasts in a single layer. Pour half of the sour cream mixture over the chicken, ensuring it’s well covered.

Spread the sautéed onions and garlic evenly over the chicken. Pour the remaining sour cream mixture on top.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, remove the foil and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Return the dish to the oven without the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Once done, remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
