Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

9 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente

2 cups ricotta cheese

1 egg

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups spinach (fresh or frozen, thawed and drained)

3 cups marinara sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil for drizzling

Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Chicken Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, spinach, ricotta cheese, egg, half of the mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

      Layer the Lasagna:

        - Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.

          - Place 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.

            - Spread half of the chicken mixture over the noodles, followed by a layer of marinara sauce.

              - Repeat the layers: place another 3 noodles, the remaining chicken mixture, and more marinara sauce.

                - Top with the final layer of noodles and spread the remaining marinara sauce over the top.

                  - Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese and the grated Parmesan cheese.

Bake: Drizzle a little olive oil over the top and cover the dish with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Let the lasagna cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil if desired, and serve warm.
