Ingredients

1 round of Brie cheese (8 oz)

1/3 cup of your choice of jam (fig, raspberry, or apricot work beautifully)

1 sheet of phyllo pastry or puff pastry

1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary or thyme (finely chopped) (optional)

Flour, for dusting

Crackers, baguette slices, or apple slices for serving

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

On a lightly floured surface, lay out the phyllo or puff pastry. If using phyllo pastry, layer a few sheets on top of each other, brushing each layer with a bit of melted butter or oil to ensure they stick together.

Place the Brie cheese in the center of the pastry.

Top the Brie with your choice of jam, making sure to spread it evenly. If you’re using nuts, sprinkle them on top of the jam.

Drizzle the honey over the jam and nuts for an extra touch of sweetness. If you like, sprinkle some fresh rosemary or thyme for added flavor.

Fold the pastry over the Brie, tucking in the edges neatly to seal it. If using phyllo, scrunch the edges beautifully to create a nice effect.

Transfer the wrapped Brie onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top with some melted butter for a golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crisp.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes.

Serve warm with crackers, baguette slices, or apple slices for dipping. Enjoy your delightful Brie experience!
